speak easy, linda!

Hi folks, long time not talk. I think I can make this long absence up to you with the set of pictures below, which are, how do I even begin? (I guess in my usual enthusiastic manner.) Absolutely perfect!!!! Behold the photos of Andrea Gentl. She is one half of Gentl + Hyers, the photography duo that has blessed many a magazine with their dramatic, dreamy, velveteen photos. (Hyers is Martin Hyers, Andrea’s husband, by the way, which is pretty awesome.)

Forgive me for having gotten a little carried away. This post is image-heavy… just a warning. Check out Andrea’s blog, Hungry Ghost Food & Travel, for many many many (many many many) more photos.

Returned from the farmer’s market today with the season’s bounty heavy in my shopping bag. Two words: the colors! (namely, the radish! Gah!)

It seemed worthwhile to do a little composition study. I don’t think I quite have the photographic “eye” so it’s something I’m trying to develop. The output is above and below. What do you think?
